Sales Engineer Position Description

Penta Security is urgently looking for Sales Engineer to support sales and marketing efforts in Japan.

Sales Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for sales and marketing efforts in Japan as needed by addressing technical questions, making technical presentations, and addressing requests for technical information from distributors and potential/signed clients.
• Work directly with systems and design engineering to communicate customer requirements
• Work directly with customer’s engineering and marketing teams to help define market requirements
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales support for partners and endusers, inclusive of technical support and technical training as needed.
• Support efforts to present and demonstrate Penta Security’s products and services to partners and clients in Japan

Experience:

• At least 3 years of recent experience with Internet and/or network security products
• At least 3 years of customer oriented engineering and support experience
  
  

Other Requirements:

• This position will be focused on opportunities in Japan but will also support other opportunities in the Asia PAC region.  25-30% travel may be required.
• Bilingual (Japanese/Korean) speaking, reading and writing – fluency in both languages is necessary.  Intermediate level English skills would be a plus.
• Biannual business trips to Korea may be necessary.
• Business trips to other parts of Japan may be necessary.

Skills:

• Ability to effectively influence others within the company as well as within customer accounts
• Communication must be direct and concise, yet enthusiastic and compelling
• Manage multiple projects in a timely, accurate, professional manner
• Good Japanese and Korean writing and presentation skills

Education:

• A BS degree in a technical field is preferred.
